& Jordan renewed their support to the Palestinian cause as the two sides
signed 12 agreements, including one on defence cooperation, following a
bilateral meeting between PM Narendra Modi & King of Jordan Abdullah II Ibn
Al Hussein. These include agreement on Defence Co-operation, Visa waiver of
Diplomatic & Official Passport holders, Cultural Exchange Programme,
Manpower Cooperation agreement, Co-operation in field of Health
2. Muthoot
Finance, the flagship company of Muthoot Group has tied up with Global IME Bank
to expand its money remittance services between Indo Nepal Corridor. Muthoot
Finance is the only NBFC to extend the money transfer services from India to
Nepal.

NITI Aayog & Piramal Foundation have
inked Statement of Intent (SoI) to work closely with District Collectors &
key officers of ‘Aspirational Districts’ to support their transformation in

ISRO has entered into a Technology Transfer
Agreement (TTA) with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), to transfer the
technology for the manufacture of space grade Li-Ion cells. The TTA was signed
at ISRO HQ, Bengaluru.

7th India-Egypt Joint Commission Meeting led by External Affairs Minister
Sushma Swaraj & Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry was held in New Delhi.

Union Agriculture Minister, Radha Mohan
Singh had addressed the 5th India Maize Summit in New Delhi. The aim of the
summit was to harness the potential of maize, technological innovations,
promoting producer aggregation & linkages that are required.

The International Solar Alliance (ISA) &
the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), signed the Host Country Agreement. The
Agreement will give ISA a juridical personality & gives it power to
contract, to acquire & dispose off movable & immovable properties, to institute
& defend legal proceedings.

Airport Authority of India (AAI) signed an
MoU with Assam government under its Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR)
initiative for the sustainable development of human settlements at villages in
Kamrup district.
9.
NITI Aayog’s Atal Innovation Mission
announced the signing of a Statement of Intent (SOI) with SAP to promote a
culture of innovation & entrepreneurship. As part of the SOI, SAP in 2018
will adopt 100 Atal Tinkering Laboratories (ATL) for five years to nurture the
science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM) learning among
secondary school children across India.

GIFT City has signed an MoU with Deloitte
Touche Tohmatsu India LLP (DTTILLP), which renders consultancy services, for
mutual cooperation in areas related to international financial services. GIFT
City is a global business district offering a platform for business
opportunities in international & domestic business operations.

Union Cabinet approved the signing of MoU
between India & the United Kingdom & Northern Ireland regarding
cooperation & Exchange of Information for the Purposes of Combating
International Criminality & Tackling Serious Organised Crime.
